The Way To Life
Deeply embedded in each of us is the desire for life. We want to live the best and the longest life possible. Our quest for life may take us in many different directions. But the truth of the matter is, that life, true and abiding life,can only be found in one place.
Jesus, before his crucifixtion, told his disciples that he was going away to prepare a place for them. When asked by Thomas, "Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?" Jesus responded by saying," I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh to the Father but by me". John 14:6.
Life can only be found in him that created life. As is recorded in John chapter1:1-4, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2. The same was in the beginning with God.3. All things were made by him;and without him was not anything made that was made. 4. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Beloved, Jesus was sent by God to show us the way to life. He is Life. So, as you seek the way to truth and life, you need not look any further than Jesus, the fulfilment of God's promise of life.
